Join OKEQ for a night of reflection, remembrance, and resistance.
Trans individuals across the country are under attack for having the gall to live authentically.
Whether hatred from individual citizens or systematic discrimination, our brothers and sisters are being threatened daily with violence, micro-aggressions, and legislation aimed at erasure.
Every year we see nearly 50 deaths to violence or suicide within the trans community and it is important that we take time to remember those losses as well as fight to prevent future losses.
OKEQ is observing the national Trans Day of Remembrance on Friday, November 20 with stories of survival, a reading of names lost over the past few years, and commissioned performance by local trans artist and activist, Jordan Wright.
Proceeds from this event support OKEQ’s Health Clinic which specializes in gender affirming care.
