Thank you for volunteering with Friends of the Inyo to repair the Upper Rock Creek boardwalk! Here are some important details about the event:
📅 Date: Saturday, August 2nd, 2025
⌚ Time: 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM
📍 Location: Park at the Sno-Park parking area. Volunteers will meet here to discuss the plan for the day and enjoy some coffee before carpooling closer to the work site.
🎒 What to Bring:
- Work boots or other durable, preferably waterproof, shoes
- Long pants, ideally a durable canvas or denim
- Sun protection (sun screen, hat, sun shirt, sunglasses)
- At least 1 liter of water - more is always better!
- Plenty of snacks and lunch
🔨 FOI will provide all tools, work gloves, and eye protection. We will also have coffee for volunteers in the morning and snacks and refreshments for the day.
Waiver and Release of Liability
While we expect that the event and associated activities will go smoothly and be fun for all participants, neither the organizers of the event nor its partners can prevent possible injuries associated with event activities. To make certain that you understand and acknowledge these limitations and to establish that you are responsible for any possible injury or loss you may suffer in connection with the event, please carefully read the following paragraphs and indicate your agreement with its terms by signing and dating below:
By signing below, I release the Friends of the Inyo (FOI) and its agents, coordinators, volunteers, and directors from any liability in the event I am injured or killed or my property is lost while participating in this project. Participants under 18 must have the signature of a parent or legal guardian below.
FOI mailing list privacy policy: FOI will use the information I provide below to check to see if I am on our mailing list and add me to it if I am not. FOI will never share or sell mailing list information. If I do not want to be on the FOI mailing list, I can leave the email field blank.
Photographic Model Release: FOI occasionally uses images from its outings on its website, social media, and other media. I hereby give FOI permission to use my image and authorize its use and reproduction by FOI or anyone authorized by FOI. This includes any photographs and videos that FOI has taken of me at this event for any purpose whatsoever without further compensation to me.
