Reading Hebrew Prayers: Continuing Practice

Sessions: Sundays from 10-11am Mountain Time (9-10 PT/11-12 CT/12-1 ET)
Dates: 7/19, 7/26, 8/02, 8/09, 8/16, 8/23

In this six-session course, we will practice reading common prayers and blessings from the siddur (prayer book). We will also explore the meaning of the prayers and learn key Hebrew prayer vocabulary. As a complement to the prayers covered in our other course, Reading Hebrew Prayers, this course covers texts including Shalom Aleichem, parts of the Amidah, aliyah blessings, havdallah blessings, and more. You may take the complementary courses in any order.

Who is this course for?: This course is for beginners who are familiar with Hebrew letters and vowel signs and can slowly sound out Hebrew words. The course builds on Learn to Read Hebrew and complements Reading Hebrew Prayers.
