You can build community for kinship and foster families! When you support the Neighbor Program, you empower Project 1.27 to match volunteers with struggling families. Neighbors share the load of simple, friendly tasks that make raising children “in the system” a little less overwhelming.
WHEN YOU GIVE:
• You make the difference between feeling isolated (common for kinship and foster families) and feeling seen and supported by neighbors. This decreases the likelihood of disruption and the child having to move to another foster home.
• A neighbor is recruited and trained to do something simple for the family (like dropping off a monthly meal)
• A genuine relationship grows between the family and the helper, where they share the load both practically and emotionally
