Join our Mission Support Crew
and Help Arts & Scraps Launch to the Next Level

Did you know that we are living in a world that is environmentally and socially imbalanced? Creativity and adaptability are no longer optional, they are essential! Creative learning doesn’t just teach facts, it teaches people of all ages, especially young people, how to think. It builds the very skills needed to solve the complex problems of today and tomorrow - critical thinking and problem solving, innovation and imagination, adaptability and experimentation and collaboration, empathy and confidence. These are all skills that help us navigate uncertainty, imagine alternatives and build a better world!
Since 1989, Arts & Scraps has served over 3 million kids, youth and community members, reused more than 980 tons of recycled materials, and left a lasting mark on Detroit, arts, culture and education landscape. But our mission is far from over, and we need YOU on our crew!
Just like every successful space mission relies on engineers, navigators, and ground control, Arts & Scraps depends on a strong Mission Support Team to fuel our journey. Your contribution powers our operations, supports our team, and sustains innovative programming that ensures:
- Equitable access to creative learning
- Sustainability through reuse and recycling
- A thriving community where creativity, collaboration and imagination connect people and drive real-world problem solving
When you give, you help build a world where creativity, critical thinking, curiosity, and empathy are nurtured in every person, so that they can boldly face today’s challenges and shape a more balanced, sustainable future!
