Azael Carrizosa
Campus Missionary

Born and raised in South Fort Worth, Azael came to UNT and got plugged into FOCUS right away. Through the intentional love and discipleship he received, he grew in his devotion to Jesus and the community, choosing to give his life to Christ at the end of his freshman fall semester. Later that year, attending SICM further ignited his passion for campus ministry, intentional friendships, and living on mission.

Azael is graduating from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor’s in Risk Management & Insurance. Having served for three years as a student leader and Core Facilitator, he has seen firsthand the power of people encountering Jesus through discipleship and community. He is now eager to begin the FOCUS Apprenticeship to continue the mission of making and maturing disciples, raising up new leaders, and fostering Jesus-loving communities on DFW campuses, and growing in his own discipleship and more adventures God has in store!

Azael lives in Denton and loves spending quality time with people, whether that’s watching shows & movies or playing or watching soccer. He’s also looking forward to ensuring that Denton FOCUS Saturday morning soccer continues to thrive this next year!
