Keanna Barber

Keanna grew up in the DFW area. She graduated from Texas Woman’s University with her Bachelor’s degree in Health Psychology. Through her unique adoption story she got the blessing of growing up in the family of churches that support FOCUS where she caught a vision for what college could look like when rooted in Jesus as she had seen from many mentors and friends at church even before college came around. After personally experiencing FOCUS as a college student, she began to see what others before her had talked about when you have a community of disciples seeking to know one another deeply. She developed a heart for caring to learn people’s stories and share the goodness of Jesus with them! Although doing ministry full time may not have been on her radar originally, she knows that God has put on her heart for the time being to share with other college students the joy and fulfillment that comes from growing a deeper relationship with God and other people. It’s so refreshing and exciting getting to see students’ lives change when experiencing God for the first time or in a new way, to her that never gets old, and is such a gift to be a part of!
