Like many college students, I came to UNT looking for more than just a degree- I was looking for community, purpose, and direction in my life. I had grown up in the church and experienced great Christian community, but I didn’t know what faith in college would look like. During my freshman year, I met a girl involved in FOCUS and started attending her small group. I found friends who genuinely wanted to know me, a safe space to wrestle with questions about my faith, and a vision for what it looked like to follow Jesus wholeheartedly as a student.

After graduating in 2022, I worked in the insurance industry for a year, but I couldn’t shake the sense that God was calling me back to campus ministry. God used FOCUS to transform my life, and I felt deeply called to give other students the same opportunity.

Now, I get the incredible privilege of walking alongside college students with FOCUS at UT Dallas as they discover how Jesus can change their lives, just like He changed mine. I spend most of my time meeting with students one-on-one and in small groups, digging into big questions about faith and exploring Scripture together. I also have the joy of helping create a community where students feel seen, loved, and welcomed, and equipping them to extend that same love to others. Your support means that I can continue investing full-time in this mission to help students encounter the love, truth, and purpose only Christ can offer.
