Here's some recent stories of lives changed though the work of Men of Iron: Steve | Matt | Marlin
About Ed
As the Berks and Schuylkill County Iron Rep with Men of Iron, my focus is to encourage men to become who God has called them to be. I am excited to join the Men of Iron team because I have experienced firsthand how life-changing it can be when men are challenged to strengthen the most important areas of their lives. In a culture that often distracts men from their God-given responsibilities, I want to help men refocus on their faith, families, relationships, health, and finances.
Before joining Men of Iron, I served as a correctional officer for 21 years. I have also been a competitive powerlifter since 2002, setting 22 world records within my respective age and weight classes. In addition, I own a private gym where I train both adults and children. While I am grateful for those accomplishments, my greatest identity is not found in a career, a title, or a record. I am a child of God and His masterpiece.
Men of Iron’s mission to change a culture, one man at a time, strongly connects with my desire to help men grow into spiritual leaders. Being involved with Men of Iron has already made a meaningful difference in my own life, and I am excited to help other men experience that same kind of growth. I believe that when a man becomes more intentional in the key areas of his life, the impact reaches his family, friendships, church, workplace, and community.
I have four amazing children. Outside of work, I enjoy training, working with children, sharing weekly devotions on social media, leading a local men’s group, and spending time with my family. At the center of everything I do is the belief that my greatest purpose is to honor God and help others recognize who He has created them to be.
