The Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority (CTRMA) is proposing to add six to eight lanes over 8.8-miles of the Edwards Aquifer Recharge Zone from Slaughter Lane to Enfield Road. This expansion risks water quality for Barton Springs Pool, increases congestion, would substantially worsen air quality, and threaten endangered species, all for a projected time savings of five minutes.
Better MoPac Coalition is a group of individuals, scientists, organizations, neighborhood associations, and businesses advocating for smarter and more environmentally sustainable solutions for the MoPac South corridor.

The Save Our Springs Alliance (SOS), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, serves as the fiscal sponsor for this work, receiving and administering donations to support Better MoPac Coalition’s advocacy efforts.

Every dollar strengthens our defense against this reckless highway expansion. Give today to Better MoPac Coalition. Your contribution empowers us to conduct comprehensive research, engage the community, and advocate for sustainable alternatives.

SOS is a 501 c3 non profit and  your donation is tax deductible
