Join us on February 27th at the New Mexico State Capitol for a day of Animal Advocacy!

On Animal Protection Lobby Day, advocates from across the State will visit their lawmaker’s offices and deliver letters encouraging lawmakers to support several important bills, including bills that will:

HB 113 - Establish an Animal Welfare Trust Fund to fund shelters, cruelty law enforcement, and projects and programs for cat and dog shelters

SB 358 - Establish an Equine Welfare Trust Fund to bolster the life-saving work equine shelters do for horses, donkeys and mules

HB 284 - Promote the Humane Management of Free-Roaming Horses

SB 5 - Reform the State Game Commission and modernize the Department of Game & Fish

SB 26 - Protection Against Abuse and Violence Act which will help people, and their companion animals, escape domestic violence

The more of us that come together, the brighter we can shine a light on the improvements needed for animals throughout New Mexico. When we all speak with one voice, animal protection issues can’t be ignored! Without supporters, like you, animals in our beautiful state would not have protections under the law.
