Note from our Founder and President Jeanine Patten-Coble
I am excited that you are interested in serving with Little Pink Houses of Hope! Believe me when I say that it can change your life while changing the lives of others. Since founding the organization, I have attended countless retreats as a volunteer, done many community events as a volunteer, and in doing so, have had the most amazing experience and have created lifelong friends. My hope is that your gifts and talents will be utilized in your service with Little Pink and that you will feel at home within our organization. There is no task too small that does not make a huge impact within our organization. Thank you for bringing your best, most authentic self to the communities that we serve.
Little Pink Overview
Little Pink Houses of Hope was founded with one simple mission - put a loving embrace around families that are on the physically, emotionally, and financially exhausting breast cancer journey. Our mission is fulfilled by providing free week-long vacation retreats for breast cancer patients and their families. Retreats occur all across the United States allowing the organization to have a national impact while providing personal connections for participants. The once in a lifetime retreat experience is only possible because of a large network of important volunteers. From the applications process to retreat attendance LP volunteers leverage their gifts and talents to provide an excellent week of empowerment and hope for our families.
Little Pink Volunteer Mission Statement
At the heart of Little Pink Houses of Hope's volunteer mission is love, love that gives hope to breast cancer survivors and their families through retreats and community events. Communities, Property donors, and Volunteers come together to make the mission come alive, all serving with one purpose - HOPE!
We want you to SERVE!
SERVE with a smile because we have a story to tell of lives that are changed by hope and love.
ENGAGE and be present in the moment to meet the needs of the group and prioritize relationship building over all else.
RELATIONSHIPS are at the heart of Little Pink Houses of Hope. We foster loving relationships by our words, actions, and service,
VALUE each person: vendors, participants, community members, and other volunteers. This is the key to our service model.
ENGAGE - Little Pink strives to make an extraordinary moment in every interaction-phone calls, events, retreats, and chance meetings.

Rules and Expectations
Please read and check each box to show understanding and compliance.
For the protection of all family members, staff, volunteers, and visitors, Little Pink prohibits any isolated moments between an adult and a child at any time.
Volunteers on retreats or at local events will be identified by wearing their LPHOH name tag or lanyard.
Report any accidents or emergencies by completing an incident report within 24 hrs. Call 911 for immediate assistance.
No posting participant pictures or names on personal social media. LPHOH can post pictures and the Volunteer can share those pictures after LPHOH posts them.
Smoking and/or vaping is prohibited for Volunteers at all LPHOH activities.
Little Pink dress code tries to address the holistic needs of our participants. Honoring this dress code enables us to create an environment of comfort if anyone is experiencing body image issues. We want the focus on their beauty, not ours.
Alcohol and Retreat Volunteer Policy - All volunteers should remember that they are in service to Little Pink and the community views them as such. It is inappropriate to have a drink in areas where families or community supporters might be present (event, community pool, local restaurant, bar, on the beach, in public, etc.) At no time should volunteers be drinking with any participant. Additionally, no underage drinking is allowed under any circumstances.
Reporting to serve as a LP volunteer while under the influence of intoxicants or non-prescribed controlled substances is prohibited while representing LPHOH. Where there is reason to believe that a volunteer is under the influence, he or she will be asked to leave the event and future service to LPHOH will be evaluated by LPHOH leadership.
Drugs are NOT allowed. Any Volunteer who uses, brings, possesses or is suspected of being under the influence of any form of narcotic drug or hallucinogen, except prescribed drugs and under the direction of a physician, is subject to immediate dismissal. In addition, any Volunteer who transfers, sells or attempts to sell during an LPHOH retreat, event or while on LPHOH business, at any time, is subject to immediate dismissal and legal action.
When a volunteer is using prescription medications, possible side effects that might impact their abilities (not operating a motor vehicle, dizziness, loss of breath, etc.) should be considered and they should take extreme caution and never assume a volunteer responsibility that could endanger themselves or others.
Weapons - Concealed/Non-concealed - To ensure that Little Pink Houses of Hope maintains an environment safe and free of violence for all employees, volunteers and participants, the company prohibits the possession or use of dangerous weapons on company property, activities, or retreats.

Physically you should have good stamina and be able to support the team with the many retreat tasks encountered. You are required to come for the complete week.
