My life was forever changed when I encountered God at UTD during my freshman year of college. Before that, my relationship with Jesus was shallow and lacked real depth—my faith was not something I truly lived out. Through community and coming face to face with Jesus through FOCUS, my life was set on a different path. After four years of involvement in ministry during college and one year serving as an apprentice at UTD, God called my husband and me to Denton to help with the ministry here.

Since coming to Denton, we have seen the ministry grow exponentially! We minister to students at the University of North Texas, Texas Woman’s University, and NCTC. God is moving and working in incredible ways, and I am so thankful to be part of what He is doing here. We get to walk alongside students like me—those who grew up in church—and help them see Jesus more clearly and fully surrender their lives to Him. We also have the privilege of meeting students with little to no faith background and watching His love transform their lives.

I love helping students see Jesus clearly, grow in their understanding of the Bible, become leaders among their peers and coworkers, and become excited about partnering with God in His work of redeeming creation. I look forward to the day when my children will get to be part of something so special!
