Honoring Denton Police Chief George Bacorn by supporting first responders
On September 25, 2026, Denton Police Chief George Bacorn lost his life in a tragic accident. The Caroline CARES Peer Support Fund was established to honor his remarkable 35-year legacy as Chief of Police and his lifelong commitment to the people of Denton and Caroline County.
Chief Bacorn spent his career taking care of his community. Through this fund, his legacy will continue by supporting those who served alongside him and follow in his footsteps.
Every day, first responders step into situations most of us hope we will never face. Law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMS professionals, and 9-1-1 operators are called upon to make critical decisions, care for others, and carry responsibilities that are unique to their professions.
They shouldn't have to carry those experiences alone.
In 2026, For All Seasons joined with representatives from Caroline County's first responder community around a simple but important belief:
The people who spend their careers taking care of our community deserve a community of support around them, too.
Caroline CARES builds a network of trained peers who understand firsthand the experiences, pressures, and demands first responders experience. Through peer connection, education, training, and access to additional support when needed, the program helps create a culture where first responders can look out for one another.
A gift to the Caroline CARES Peer Support Fund honors Chief Bacorn's lifetime of service by strengthening that network for the men and women who continue to answer the call every day.
