2024-2025 Season Audition Form

Thank you for your interest in auditioning for BCB. Auditions will be held on Wednesday, March 6th at Marsha Woody Academy of Dance.

5pm - 5:45 for dancers ages 9-12
6pm - 7pm for dancers ages 13 and up

The following are a few of our policies that are important for you to be informed of prior to auditioning:
1) Company members must be mature, able to handle personal critique and dedicated with disciplined attitudes.
2) Yearly Company dues must be paid on or before the first company class.
3) All members must be in training with a teacher of their choice.
Junior Company Members will need to take 1 Ballet class and a Pointe or PBT class.
Senior Apprentice and Senior Company will need to take 2 Ballet classes and PBT class.
4) It is understood that members will participate with BCB the entire season, June through May.
5) A member may be dismissed after continuous unexcused absences to classes, studio rehearsals, and theater rehearsals. Consistent tardiness or absence from class or rehearsal shall result in dismissal.
6) Dancers found using illegal drugs, or with any drug paraphernalia will be immediately dismissed from the company. No smoking or vaping of any kind is allowed at classes, rehearsals, or performances.
7) Members must maintain physical fitness to be able to perform what is required of them. If chronic health issues, serious injury, or changes in fitness level become apparent, ability to perform may be compromised. Evaluation in conjunction with recommendations from medical providers may be required.
8) Each company member must have a guardian, parent or other representative volunteer at our productions or fundraisers to ensure the ongoing success of the company.
9) A Company member should not belong to any other dance company or dance as a guest dancer with any other company without permission from the director.

Following the audition process you will be contacted by way of email two weeks following the audition if your child has been accepted into the company. If you have not heard from BCB within three weeks following the audition, please call the office at (409) 203-1042.
